Xiaomi SU7 EV Launch Rumors in Indian Market: In recent months, there were rumors of the famous Chinese technology giant Xiaomi entering the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market. However, these speculations are now over. In an exclusive interview with Financial Express, Xiaomi India President Muralikrishnan B confirmed that the company has no immediate intention to launch its EV in India. Instead, Xiaomi EV will continue to focus on dominating the Chinese domestic market.
Xiaomi SU7: What Are the Plans?
Xiaomi first entered the EV market in 2021, with a bold commitment to invest $10 billion over the next decade. Also at the beginning of the year, the company launched its first EV, priced starting at $30,000, indicating its serious intent to become a major player in the EV space. Now the recent unveiling of the Xiaomi SU7 in India was a strategic move to showcase the company’s technological prowess. Despite the buzz, Muralikrishnan B made it clear that Xiaomi’s immediate focus remains on China, with no plans to launch the SU7 globally at this time. “Xiaomi is focusing only on the Chinese EV market for the next three years,” he stressed. This statement confirms that all the rumours we’ve been hearing about Xiaomi are just that, rumours.
Xiaomi SU7: A Glimpse of What Could Have Been
